Questions about WAX?

Q:

Are there different types of waxes?

A:

Yes. The two main types are sugar and rosin waxes. Sugar wax is water soluble, so residue easily rinses away. Rosin wax is known for its ability to easily adhere to short hairs. Nair® Roll-On Wax uses a blend of both. Nair® Wax Strips are rosin based and Nair® Microwave Wax is a sugar wax. Some are microwaveable and some are no-heat, ready-to-use products.

What is the appropriate hair length that can be removed by waxing?

All wax forms differ in the lengths of hair which can be removed. The general guideline for Nair® Wax Strips is 1-week growth. The general guideline for Nair® Roll-On Wax and Nair® Microwave Wax is two-weeks growth.

How long will the waxing effect last?

Results can last up to 4 weeks. See package for complete instructions.

Is there another way to remove extra wax if I run out moisturizing towlettes?

Yes, if using Nair® Wax Strips, use mineral oil or baby oil to remove remaining wax. If using Nair® Roll-On or Nair® Microwave Wax, use warm water. See package for complete instructions.
